Na Disoja, the senior and distinguished writer was the President of the Conference for the Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, held recently in Madikeri. Na Disoja who has won the hearts of Kannada readers through his popular stories and novels has also written for children, which is considered as his proud collection. He is among those very few koi writers who have taken literature for children seriously and contributed. Among his major novels are Dweepa and Mulugade. To honour his contribution to Literature for Children, two of his children’s stories have been chosen for this audio stories series.
M. D. Pallavi is a known name in the field of Kannada Sugama Sangita. She has played many interesting roles in a couple of Kannada Movies but the major recognition she got throughout Karnataka was through the Kannada Serial Mayamruga for her unique role. Garva is another great serial she has to her credit. She got an award by State for her playback singing, of the song Nodayya Kwaate Lingave, from the movie Duniya. She has also significantly contributed as a theatre artist and some of the popular plays are Hamlet, Manishada, Agni and Male. In the movie Stumble, by Prakash Belavadi, she has worked in scriptwriting and direction departments too. She has narrated two short stories by Na Disoja for us in this audiobook series.
